Name, Logo and Motto
The name Sancta Maria is a Latin title for Mary, the Mother of God. It means ‘Holy Mary’ or simply ‘St. Mary.’ Sancta Maria lays the foundation to a confident future. The red box of the logo represents the world. The three strokes represent the roads to knowledge, progress and excellence. The colour red stands for energy, enthusiasm and passion. Sancta Maria is driven by the motto ‘In Omnia Excellentia’, which in Latin means, ‘Excellence in Everything’.
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team”.
The enthusiasm and camaraderie fostered in our youngsters, saw them rooting for their houses and standing by each other, bringing about a sense of healthy competition and sportsmanship. The applause for a victorious house, constantly reverberated through the Open Amphitheatre celebrating the victory of a team resulting in tears of joy and sorrow, moistening many an eye. The spirit of belonging to a house remains etched in memory forever.
It is with a great sense of pride that we formally announce the introduction of sports uniform for the respective houses. This has been done in concurrence with the vociferous recommendation of the leading Student Council of our school.
