From the Making of India to Make in India Nurturing Future-Ready Learners for a New India
August was a month of reflection, discovery, and purposeful action at Sancta Maria International School. As we celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day, our learners also explored what it means to contribute to the India of tomorrow.
Through science, languages, leadership, global opportunities and technology, learners continued to build the knowledge, confidence and competencies needed to shape their own futures and make a meaningful difference in the world around them.
Dear Parents,
As we celebrate our 80th Independence Day, let us celebrate what makes India truly special: our diversity, rich cultural heritage, and the spirit of living together with respect and understanding.
At Sancta Maria, we want our children to be rooted in their culture while being open to the world, proud of who they are while appreciating and respecting who others are.
Our school community reflects this beautifully, with children and families from different parts of India and the world. Let us help our children grow with open minds and open hearts, understanding differences, listening to different perspectives, and appreciating cultures and traditions beyond their own.
As the beautiful words remind us, “Mile sur mera tumhara, toh sur bane hamara”, when our voices come together, they create a harmony that belongs to all of us.
May we raise children who are kind, respectful, inclusive, and curious about the world, while remaining deeply connected to their roots.
This Independence Day, let us celebrate the freedom we inherited and our responsibility to nurture a generation 'united in diversity'.
🇮🇳 Jai Hind!
From Curiosity to Discovery Scientifique 2026 – “Curiosity Today, Discoveries Tomorrow!” brought science to life across the school. Our learners questioned, researched, experimented, created, and shared their ideas through models, posters, presentations, and hands-on activities. More than showcasing scientific knowledge, Scientifique encouraged learners to think independently, solve problems, and communicate their thinking with confidence. A special highlight was our Parent Connect – “What Science Looks Like in My Profession” for primary learners, where parents from diverse professional backgrounds shared how Science connects to their work and everyday lives, helping learners see the relevance of Science in the real world. Every discovery begins with curiosity.
Unlock Excellence & Global Action Our August theme encouraged learners to look beyond achievement and think about the impact of their choices and actions. Across the school, learners continued to develop self-leadership, confidence, collaboration, reflection and digital responsibility while taking greater ownership of their learning. Through conversations around digital wellbeing and responsible online behaviour, learners were also encouraged to think before they click, post or share. Because being future-ready means knowing how to make responsible choices.
Celebrating Multilingualism & Cultural Diversity As part of our Independence Day celebrations, learners explored the many cultures, traditions and languages that make India unique. Through class teacher activities, High School learners reflected on India’s freedom struggle, while learners across the school celebrated their heritage through traditional attire, a vibrant ramp walk and sharing their thoughts about India in their mother tongues. These experiences reminded us that multilingualism is more than speaking different languages—it is about identity, belonging, and celebrating our diversity. Many languages. Many cultures. One India.
From Ideas to Action
Our International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) continue to give learners opportunities to discover their strengths and engage with the world beyond the classroom.
Through ISP Changemakers, ISP Artists Junior, ISP Scientists Junior and ISP Chess Masters, learners are exploring creativity, science, sustainability, social impact and strategic thinking.
From Project Udaan supporting education for underprivileged children to Green Guardians and Recycle Avengers, our learners are discovering that meaningful change begins when ideas are turned into action.
Think. Create. Contribute.
Our Grade 4 learners are excited to begin their ISP Changemakers -Ideas for Action journey.

Our Grade 4 learners are excited to begin their ISP Changemakers -Ideas for Action journey. Aligned with SDG 15 - Life on Land, learners have chosen “Green Guardians – Our Healing Garden” as their project theme. Through this initiative, they will work together to create a green space in the school and promote awareness of biodiversity and caring for nature.
Our registered High School learners are actively preparing for a fundraising event on 29 August 2026 in support of their Social Impact project. Through this initiative, learners are developing awareness, collaboration, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Our young artists are ready to showcase their creativity! Students are invited to bring their artwork based on the given theme for display in the gallery on 29 August 2026.
We warmly invite parents to take some time to visit the gallery, appreciate the creativity of our budding artists, and celebrate their artistic journey.
Our learners are gearing up for the next round of the ISP Chess Masters tournament. Usernames have been shared with all the finalists to help them prepare and participate in the upcoming round. We wish all our finalists the very best and look forward to celebrating their achievements!
At Sancta Maria, our focus is not simply on how much technology learners use, but how meaningfully it supports their learning and wellbeing.
Through Formative, learners receive timely feedback that helps them understand their learning and make improvements. Exact Path uses individual learning data to create personalised pathways, helping learners work on areas where they need greater support.
With Komodo Wellbeing, technology is used to strengthen human connection by giving learners a simple way to share how they are feeling and helping our teams identify where support may be needed.
The goal is not more technology, but better learning, personalised support and stronger wellbeing.
Screen Time → Screen Value
Because the better question is not how long learners are on a screen, but what value it adds to their learning.
India’s journey has been shaped by people who had the courage to imagine, build and create.
At Sancta Maria, we are nurturing a generation ready to do the same.
Through academic excellence, life competencies, future pathways, multilingualism, and global opportunities, our learners are developing the knowledge, confidence and perspective to contribute to a changing world.
Because the India of tomorrow will be shaped by the learners of today.
Imagine. Innovate. Impact.
