Celebrating multilingualism

At Sancta Maria International School, students fast-track their English through the Cambridge curriculum and explore a second language from Hindi, French or Spanish. Through engaging and age-appropriate lessons, students acquire and enhance strong communication skills, cultural understanding and global awareness, while building confidence and fluency over time.

By learning Telugu as a mandatory subject, our learners connect with traditions and strengthen their language skills. Supported by cultural events and family involvement, they experience the benefits of multilingualism and grow ready to thrive in a connected global world.

By the end of their learning journey, students become confident multilingual communicators, equipped with the language proficiency and global skills needed to succeed at leading universities.

Toddlers and Early Years

Toddlers start their language journey naturally, growing skills through conversation, stories and music in both English and their home language within a warm, nurturing environment.

As they progress into our kindergarten in Hyderabad, learners confidently grow in their multilingual path, continuing to explore their home language through play alongside English, supported by tailored bilingual programmes.

Primary School

Students continue their multilingual journey by strengthening English as their primary language of learning while broadening their horizons with a second language - Hindi, Spanish or French - offered within the curriculum, building communication skills and cultural awareness.

They also have the opportunity to add a third language, Telugu, enriching their learning experience even further.

Middle School

At Sancta Maria International School, students continue their language learning journey by choosing a Second Language from Hindi, Spanish or French, offered as part of the curriculum, deepening their multilingual skills.

Learners can also choose a third language from the options already offered, including Hindi, Spanish, French or Telugu, further expanding their language abilities and global perspective.

Cambridge Upper Secondary

Through our IGCSE curriculum school in India, students develop full English proficiency, with all learners taking the mandatory IGCSE English exam - either as a First or Second Language - demonstrating their skills through bilingual essays, presentations and reflective journals.

In addition, learners complete an IGCSE in a second language - Hindi, French or Spanish - building confidence as multilingual communicators ready to thrive in a connected, global community.

Cambridge A Levels

All students prepare for AS Levels in English, demonstrating strong language skills through English General Paper (EGP) and English Language (EL), building their confidence to think critically and communicate effectively in a global context.

French is also introduced as subjects, giving learners the opportunity to continue their language journey or begin anew.
